Now, with the rollout of SAP and an appetite to continue winning market share through a truly world class product range, the organisation seeks a National Inventory Manager to build a high performing, sustainable supply chain for the future. The role:The National Inventory Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the organization's inventory management strategies on a national scale, including the support of a post go live SAP Implementation. Reporting to the CEO, this position involves leading a team responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, minimizing stockouts, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. The National Inventory Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, drive process improvements, and contribute to the overall success of the supply chain function.Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive inventory management strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives, which supports the future growth of the organisations supply chain. Monitor and analyze inventory performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions Ensure a smooth transition to SAP, providing necessary training to the team and stakeholders regarding best inventory management practices Lead and mentor a team of two Inventory Specialists, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture focused on achieving inventory accuracy and efficiency goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, logistics, and sales, to ensure seamless communication and coordination across the supply chain. Work closely with vendors and suppliers to optimize order fulfillment processes and reduce lead times. Proactively identify and mitigate potential inventory-related risks, such as stockouts or overstock situations. Develop and implement contingency plans to address unexpected supply chain disruptions Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. Proven experience in inventory management acquired within a manufacturing environment Experience supporting an SAP implementation for inventory management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of best practices in supply chain management and inventory control.
