Reporting to the GM, you will: Map out current state processes and establish a structured CI methodology to drive standardisation and efficiency. Lead business improvement projects, working with IT and software teams to get the best out of ERP and Power BI capabilities. Improve DIFOT and customer service standards across a growing national network. Support the onboarding of new warehouses and customers, ensuring scalable, high-quality service. Work closely with the ELT and national teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement. Conduct root cause analysis to drive efficiency, quality, and sustainable growth. Optimise warehouse layout and processes to improve inventory flow, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance productivity. Implement lean methodologies to reduce waste, improve pick/pack accuracy, and enhance labour efficiency. Streamline transport operations by identifying cost-saving opportunities, optimising fleet utilisation, and improving route planning Develop and track productivity KPIs for warehousing and transport to ensure ongoing performance improvement. Lead initiatives to enhance workforce productivity, including training, process automation, and best-practice adoption. Work with key stakeholders across operations, IT, and logistics to implement technology-driven improvements that enhance end-to-end supply chain efficiency. This role is all about driving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enabling scalable growth within a high-performing national 3PL business. Why Join? An Australian FMCG manufacturing company are looking for a Senior Materials Planner to act as a 2IC to the National Planning Manager across a team of 6 planners. About the Role: This is a key role in the materials planning team, responsible for driving New Product Development (NPD), deletions, and key change management projects. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally, analysing risks, ensuring raw materials are available to meet launch timelines, and minimising inventory write-offs. You’ll also act as the go-to person for the Brisbane based planners, supporting them day to day and providing leave cover as required.Key Responsibilities: Leading NPD and product change projects – ensuring timelines are met, risks are mitigated, and communication is clear across the business. Managing the deletions process to ensure minimal inventory write-offs Acting as 2IC to the National Planning Manager, supporting a team of 6 Providing strong stakeholder engagement, coordinating with production, planning, supply chain, procurement, and cross-functional teams such as marketing and sales. Supporting compliance, reporting and driving process improvements across materials planning. Providing leave cover for supply and demand planning, including ordering ingredients and ensuring production plans are met. Continuously looking at the product range for opportunities to improve efficiency, shelf life, or reduce complexity.
