Specifically, this will involve development of short and long-term strategies, policies, plans as set out in Council’s Corporate Plan and includes leading more than 1,000 employees across diverse departments and a geographically dispersed workforce. Critical to your success will be delivering exceptional customer experience and cost-effective services to the Redland’s community in a manner that is transparent, accountable, and compliant with relevant legislation, laws, regulations, and policies. In addition, the CEO will collaborate and provide advice to the Mayor and Councillors to achieve organisational objectives by communicating a clear vision in a compelling and meaningful way. Furthermore, as CEO you will review, develop, and implement strategic initiatives focused on financial sustainability, essential services to the community, delivery of critical and legacy infrastructure projects and stakeholder management with key government, business, and community groups. About the Person We are seeking a highly experienced CEO (or equivalent) who has overseen a large and complex organisation delivering a diverse range of services. You will possess transformational experience reviewing and implementing operating models to deliver bespoke services to the community and have a strong understanding of contemporary workplace dynamics to maximise employee productivity and satisfaction levels. It is essential you have demonstrated high levels of commercial thinking across revenue generation opportunities and cost management practices to achieve financial sustainability objectives and excellent stakeholder management and networking skills across three levels of government, council investment corporation, community and business groups.
