About the Position
Partnering with the Chief Growth Officer and part of a newly created Growth Team, the Business Development Director – Defence, will build and lead a high performing work winning team across Synthetic Test & Evaluation, Mission Enablement Systems & Engineering, Decision Support and Cyber capability areas, thereby ensuring Aurizn has a mature, industry leading business development capability.
Your deep understanding of the Australian Defence Force and Defence Primes (including current and planned capabilities) will assist you in identifying gaps and opportunities to improve and enhance warfighting systems in Aurizn’s established and emerging capabilities. This exciting growth position is responsible for conceptualising, identifying, capturing, and growing new business opportunities for Aurizn and cultivating a “work winning” culture across multi domains (land, sea, air, space, underwater).
About the Person
We are seeking a well-rounded and highly motivated executive who possesses extensive experience pursuing and winning complex sales campaigns with the ADF and Defence Primes ideally in Synthetic Test & Evaluation and Mission Systems. You will have a proven ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies and a proven track record of growth.
In addition, you will possess a deep understanding of the Australian Defence procurement environment and tendering processes including leading and preparing responses to Commonwealth approaches to market. Prior military experience and an ability to coach and mentor a high performing and multi-disciplinary teams will be highly regarded.
