About the Role: Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for providing critical financial insights that support strategic planning and operational decision-making. This role involves ownership of month-end financial processes, statutory reporting, and a variety of financial analysis tasks. As a key player in the finance team, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate on high-impact projects and influence the company’s future growth. Responsibilities: Manage the month-end process, including preparing and processing adjustment journals, accruals, and monthly management reports. Perform variance analysis, provide insightful commentary, and assist with board reporting. Prepare BAS, FBT, and other statutory returns, along with half-year and annual statutory reports. Support budgeting and forecasting processes to inform strategic financial planning. Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, CAPEX registers, and daily management reporting distribution. Work with the finance team on ad hoc projects and deliverables, ensuring business requirements are met. Skills and Experience: Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Business; CA/CPA accreditation preferred. Ideal for Big4 or Mid-Tier first mover Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role, with strong financial reporting and analytical skills. Advanced Excel capabilities; experience with Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar ERP systems is a plus. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and time management. Ability to connect financial insights with broader commercial goals and communicate effectively across teams.
