About the role:
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this newly established role offers an exciting opportunity to internalize and lead the finance function of the company. As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and structure to the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, data integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Financial statements for a multinational
- Year and month end closing and consolidation of entities
- Create a monthly management reporting and cashflow report
- Analysis on variances, margins, KPI’s
- Tax and compliance requirements; FBT, GST, BAS and Payroll tax
- Annual budgeting and forecasting
- Management of external part-time bookkeeper
- Seek improvements in systems and processes – MYOB
- Stock and inventory reporting
- Management of banking and insurances
- Liaising with external auditors
Skills and Experience:
Ideally you are CA/CPA qualified with demonstrated experience working for an SME sub $50m. You have a minimum of 3 years in a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role with strong process improvement skills. You have strong communication and interpersonal skills to partner with the wider business and senior management.
Experience using MYOB and intermediate excel skills are beneficial.
