An opportunity has arisen for a strong Finance Manager to join a well- established, growing and respected organisation. Being inquisitive and taking a hands-on approach, this role will be responsible for providing support to the Financial Controller by undertaking multiple projects including leading month end process', process improvements, stakeholder management and managing 2 direct reports. This role will develop with the individual. This role reports into and is the 2IC to the CFO.
The responsibilities:
The main duties include:
- Preparation and ownership of month-end closing. Financial and management reporting.
- Budgeting and forecasting for construction portfolios.
- Business partnering with multiple key senior stakeholders across different business units.
- Provision of key analysis and insights on investments.
- Management of a small finance team (3 direct reports).
- Providing performance insights, analysis, and recommendations to internal stakeholders to support decision-making and drive business performance.
- Lead Project accounting for new development projects, and marketing projects
- Driving Process Improvement - drive continuous improvement initiatives across in systems, reporting, process and efficiency
- Manage and Support 2 direct reports
- Qualified CA or CPA
- Ex. big4 or Mid tier accounting firm (ideal)
- Previous experience within a Finance Manager or Finance Business Partner role focusing on project mgmt.
- Hands on experience in financial and project accounting.
- Recognised ERP system experience such as SAP, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft
- Strong MS Excel skills inclusive of V-Look ups.
- Excellent communications and the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
