About the role:
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this Finance Manager role is critical in driving business growth and leading the finance function. You will provide strategic leadership to guide key business decisions, while overseeing the day-to-day financial operations.
This is a highly influential position, offering the opportunity to shape the financial strategy and support the company’s long-term success.
  
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee financial accounts, including profit and loss and balance sheet.
  • Manage annual audit processes and liaise with auditors for statutory accounts.
  • Oversee taxation matters, ensuring compliance in partnership with external advisors.
  • Supervise accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and the associated team.
  • Manage cash flow, banking facilities, and foreign exchange documentation.
  • Prepare and monitor the annual budget.
  • Partner with senior leaders in the business to drive growth strategy
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory and legal requirements, including accounting standards and taxation laws.
  • Review and manage leases, bank guarantees, and insurance programs.
  • Prepare royalty reports as per license agreements.
  • Provide financial advice to the business and ensure optimal team performance through coaching.
  • Maintain compliance with industry laws, encourage staff development, and ensure ongoing personal skill improvement.
Skills and Experience:
  • CA/CPA qualified, with strong professional credentials.
  • Experience in the retail or wholesale industry is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or readiness to step up from a Senior Accountant or similar role.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with non-finance teams and senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting financial insights and influencing key business decisions.
