An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a well- established, and respected property development organisation. Due to extra workload this role will take ownership of the maintenance of the month end process, reporting and support the wider finance team in process improvements, tax & compliance, providing commentary and supporting a wide range of stakeholders (internal and external).
The responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Prepare and review month end processing including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Consolidate monthly, half-year and year end accounts and report packs
- cashflow forecasting
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Review and Maintain the integrity of the organisation's fixed assets register
- Maintaining internal controls around systems and non-current assets
- Partnering with key operational stakeholders regarding asset movements
- Review and improve fixed asset policy and procedures
- CA/CPA qualified (or progressing).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, time management and organisation skills.
- Experience within small business' (preferable)
- Jobpack system experience (desirable)
- Experience in property or construction (desirable)
