Sharp & Carter is proud to be exclusively partnering with a community based NFP organisation driven by a purpose of providing assistance and support to those in need through a range of diverse services. Due to an internal restructure, they are seeking a hands-on Senior Financial Accountant to join the organisation in a newly-created position.
The Role | Reporting into the CFO
Key Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate preparation of monthly management reports and additional reporting packages, with a focus on adequate documentation / working papers to facilitate review.
- Timely and accurate preparation of the month end accounts.
- Review monthly accounts with regional managers.
- Analysis and interpretation of monthly variances.
- Completion of monthly payroll for approval by CFO.
- AP, AR & Bank Reconciliation processing
- Assist with Annual Budgeting process.
- Assist with Annual Audit and liaise with Auditors as required.
- Compliance with external reporting requirements.
- Reconciliation of revenue to cash received.
- Maintain accurate Fixed Asset register and determine monthly depreciation/amortisation. Post depreciation/amortisation journal.
- Reconciliation of but not limited to; Credit Cards, Travel, Grants, Investments, leases and provisions
- Reconciliation of General Ledger Accounts
- Analysis of expense accounts and preparation of relevant schedules as requested.
- Assist in identifying areas of process and efficiency improvement within the Finance team.
You are CA/CPA qualified having commenced your career in the chartered environment or having gained experience in service or NFP based organisation. Your interpersonal and communication skills are exceptional, consistently displaying a willingness to provide ongoing support to all key stakeholders. You will have demonstrated strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
