We are recruiting for a well-established manufacturing company, the company has gone through exponential growth in recent years and is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the finance team on permanent basis. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial reporting. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in preparing financial statements for presentation to the board, management, stakeholders, and governing and statutory bodies.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for project managers and internal stakeholders.
- Process month-end and ad-hoc general journals.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare BAS (Business Activity Statement) and ensure compliance.
- Handle payroll tax preparation.
- Assist in FBT (Fringe Benefits Tax) preparation.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and upload them to the Finance system.
- Update cash flow actuals on a weekly basis.
- Assist in year-end procedures to ensure a smooth financial closing process.
- Assist with bank reconciliations when required.
- Support the Accounts Payable team in processing payments in the Finance system.
- Assist in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Undertake other duties as required, contributing to the overall success of the finance department.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CA certification preferred.
- Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Experience with ERP and financial systems.
- System implementation experience is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
