With a dedicated and highly skilled finance team, they foster an exceptional culture that they’re continually enhancing. They are currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Role | Reporting to the Financial Controller
Duties will include:
- Analyse financial performance by comparing actual results with budgets and forecasts.
- Partner with business stakeholders to provide insights for decision-making and cost control.
- Prepare group reports (monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end).
- Maintain balance sheets and perform account reconciliations.
- Support both internal and external audit processes.
- Conduct cash flow forecasting and reporting.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Identify and lead continuous improvement projects to improve reporting capabilities.
You will have an excellent technical accounting base with a proven ability to handle a varied workload. It is also essential that you are able to engage and influence key stakeholders across all levels with your first-class communication skills. To succeed, you will have an ability to balance your detail-driven personality with the capacity to understand the bigger picture.
Other requirements include:
- CA/CPA qualified, with at least 3 years Big 4 audit/mid-tier audit experience preferable.
- Demonstrated experience in a corporate and large group consolidation roles/clients.
- Strong technical knowledge (AASB) and analytical abilities.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines while having excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and intermediate knowledge of other MS Office applications.
- FMCG experience will be considered an advantage.
- Experience with Pronto or other large accounting systems will be considered an advantage.
