About the Company
The Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB) is a commercial Statutory Authority responsible to the Minister for Regional Development and Manufacturing and Minister for Water. GAWB’s purpose is to supply water in bulk to major consumers in the Gladstone Region. Those consumers comprise major industries, power generating organisations, and the Gladstone Regional Council. GAWB manages a variety of assets ranging from major water storage through to pump stations, pipelines, storage tanks and water treatment plants and takes measures to protect the quantity and quality of present and future water supplies and provides, operates, and maintains recreational facilities and fish fingerling production facilities and stocking programs.

About the Role
GAWB is seeking a Project Manager – Easements to join their Asset Planning team. In this newly created critical role, the successful candidate will ensure the safety, accessibility, and integrity of GAWB’s raw and potable water pipelines within designated easements. The role involves conducting comprehensive reviews of all easements to assess risk exposure, developing and implementing mitigation strategies, and ensuring projects are delivered within agreed quality, cost, scope, and schedule parameters. This position demands strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex assessments into actionable strategies that safeguard GAWB’s infrastructure and ensure the reliability of their water delivery systems.
  
This key role can be based in Brisbane or Gladstone. If Brisbane-based, some travel to Gladstone will be required.
  
About the Person
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering (Civil), or a related discipline, along with demonstrated experience in project management or project implementation roles. A strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and governance, with a focus on safety and compliance, is essential. An understanding of easements and the associated complexities and nuances would be extremely beneficial, as would holding a PMP, CPPM, or PRINCE2 accreditation.
