About the Role

The Qld Facilities Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of multiple sites across the state, ensuring maintenance, security, and cleaning services are effectively managed. The role will also involve coordinating minor works, responding to staff requests, and supporting compliance and asset management initiatives. Regular site visits will be required to maintain an understanding of operational needs.

Presently, the role will focus on managing several refurbishment works in North Queensland, as well as completing a complex Defect Liability in Brisbane so there will be some travel from Brisbane required intermittently. 

This role is offered initially as a 6-month contract with the potential for a permanent role. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee refurbishment works, defect liability processes, and minor repairs.
  • Manage facilities operations, including maintenance, security, and cleaning services.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with WHS and operational standards.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and contractor activities.
  • Build relationships with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide updates and escalate significant issues as required.
About You
  • Experience in facilities, property, or asset management.
  • Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of WHS requirements and safety standards.
  • Experience managing budgets and capital works.
  • Proficiency in facilities management systems.
  • Ability to travel between sites as required.
  • A degree in Facilities Management, Property Management, or a related field (preferred).
