Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of the Project across a geographically dispersed workforce.
- Develop complex data project and work plans that outlines objectives, scope, timeline, resources and deliverables.
- Establish clear project priorities, goals and success criteria.
- Plan and manage project activities in line with Queensland Police Service and Whole of Government best practice and standards, including PRINCE2 and agile methodologies.
- Provide high level strategic direction and leadership in the analysis, design, development and implementation of the project and related business strategies and organisational change.
- Provide regular project progress status and financial reports to stakeholders and prepare, review and present project reports, briefing notes, submissions, and other correspondence.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver project outcomes and to ensure compliance with business governance processes.
- Provide guidance to project stakeholders to facilitate informed business decisions that improve business processes and meet changing and challenging business needs.
- 5+ years’ experience of project management within a large and complex organization.
- Proven experience leading the delivery of large-scale, projects across a geographically dispersed workforce.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills (verbal and written) with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong Analytical and Strategic thinking capabilities, with an ability to manage competing priorities.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Agile Project Management certification or equivalent (e.g. Prince 2 Practitioner or Safe Agile).
- Current and varied experience across both public and private sector.
