This position is within the NFP industry and ensures alignment with organizational goals and compliance with relevant awards and legislation, while working closely with managers and employees to enhance organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
  • Provide HR advice and solutions on a range of general HR activities and employee relations matters.
  • Offer expert advice on performance management, grievances, and disciplinary processes.
  • Lead complex HR investigations and performance improvement processes.
  • Support managers during significant workplace changes, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Assist with the development and negotiation of Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs).
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning:
  • Ensure timely processing of new hires, employment changes, and contract variations.
  • Support the development and implementation of talent strategies for workforce planning.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Advisors to attract and recruit top talent.
  • Participate in projects to optimize recruitment systems and assist with workforce planning.
Remuneration, Awards, and Benefits:
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and assist with salary reviews and remuneration recommendations.
  • Manage salary packaging arrangements and support award and benefit program reviews.
Policies and Procedures:
  • Assist with the review and development of HR policies and procedures.
HRIS:
  • Contribute to the development and management of HR information systems.
  • Provide data insights and reporting on key HR metrics, such as turnover and engagement.
Human Resources Administration:
  • Prepare HR-related documentation, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Maintain confidential HR records and ensure accuracy of all documentation.
  • Promote the Employee Assistance Program and provide advice on services as required.
Learning and Development:
  • Identify training needs and create/facilitate learning programs and workshops.
HR Projects and Initiatives:
  • Lead and contribute to HR projects aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects and evaluate their impact.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
  • 3-5 years' experience as a HR Generalist in medium to large organizations.
  • Experience in NFP 
  • Strong knowledge of HR and Industrial Relations (IR) legislative regulations.
  • Ability to interpret multiple awards and manage employee relations matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal, mediation, and consultation skills.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and ensure accuracy.
  • A customer service focus and a strong work ethic.
  • Understanding of privacy and confidentiality.
  • Willingness to obtain a positive notice Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
