Key Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives to cultivate a positive, high-performance workplace culture that reflects company values and leadership principles.
- Offer expert guidance and coaching to operational teams, fostering leadership development and enhancing employee performance.
- Oversee complex employee relations matters, such as performance management, restructuring, investigations, and conciliation processes, ensuring the fair and consistent application of company policies.
- Drive initiatives aimed at boosting employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and overall job satisfaction.
- Collaborate in the development of tender responses, ensuring HR strategies are clearly articulated and aligned with business objectives.
- Contribute to the creation and negotiation of enterprise agreements that support business goals and objectives.
- Spearhead the implementation of HR programs designed to promote continuous employee development and improve business performance.
- Monitor and analyze key HR metrics to ensure alignment with organizational goals, driving informed decision-making.
- Provide strategic guidance in optimizing resources—such as employees, contractors, and labor hire—while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Play a key role in the annual salary review process, benchmarking, and remediation strategies, ensuring competitive and equitable remuneration practices.
- Extensive experience in HR, ideally within blue-collar or unionized environments, or a comparable setting.
- A minimum of 4 years of HRBP experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to work with HR metrics in performance-driven environments.
- Solid experience in employee relations, including managing performance issues and supporting negotiations.
- Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing multiple HR functions concurrently.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, ER, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of employee relations legislation and HR best practices.
- Expertise in supporting HR policies, systems, and processes to ensure operational efficiency.
- Strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of business requirements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of emotional intelligence.
- A collaborative problem-solving approach with the ability to work effectively within a team.
