Key responsibilities:
- Provide proactive, accurate and solution focused advice on the interpretation and application of P&C policies, procedures, agreements, employment conditions and entitlements.
- Provide coaching and support to principals and managers consistent with legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Investigate and advise on employee relation issues
- Provide support to the Head of People & Culture on matters relating to performance concerns, disciplinary matters, absenteeism, probation, redundancy, termination, and grievance disputes.
- Assist with developing, updating, and maintaining appropriate policies and procedures in the context of organisational goals, areas of responsibility and relevant legislation.
- Coordinate activities associated with the firm’s annual performance and development reviews with a view to fostering talent and building capability.
- Assist in the design of initiatives and promote activities that increase employee participation and engagement, including change initiatives.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement opportunities for the firm in a way that builds a collaborative, service mindset and safety culture.
- Actively contribute to the remuneration review processes for legal and support/corporate services staff, providing recommendations and ensuring the accuracy of data.

- Analyse workforce data for the purpose of advising the business, improving performance, addressing issues and identifying trends.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders including employees, any representatives, or other relevant individuals and organisations.
- Assist with workforce planning and Talent Acquisition as required.
- Provide mentoring and assistance to the People & Culture Coordinators and assist with general administrative P&C tasks if required.
- Experience working in the Legal industry or professional services will be highly regarded.
- L&D experience highly regarded
- Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline and/or significant demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in Human Resources (HR) in an advisory capacity.
- Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters of a complex nature.
- Experience in organising and undertaking multiple tasks with competing deadlines whilst applying effective problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional, and responsive manner.
- Effective analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
