As a People & Culture Advisor, you will play a key role in providing HR support and guidance across the organisation. This role offers exposure to a broad range of HR functions, with a strong focus on employee relations, policy compliance, and workplace culture initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations: Provide advice and support on ER matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, performance management, and workplace investigations.
- Policy & Compliance: Ensure HR policies and procedures align with workplace legislation, including the Fair Work Act and NES.
- HR Advisory: Partner with managers to provide guidance on HR best practices, award interpretation, and workforce planning.
- Employee Engagement: Support the delivery of engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and cultural events.
- HR Reporting: Analyse and report on HR metrics, including WGEA reporting, to inform decision-making and strategy.
- Projects & Initiatives: Contribute to key HR projects, including process improvements, training programs, and system enhancements.
- Qualifications: A degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in an HR generalist role, with strong exposure to employee relations.
- Legislation Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Fair Work Act, NES, modern awards, and workplace compliance.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to resolving ER issues and coaching managers through complex situations.
