We have partnered with them to recruit a highly motivated and results-oriented Operational Excellence Manager to join their team at their state-of-the-art facility in SE Suburbs of Melbourne.
About the Role:
This exciting new role will play a pivotal part in driving significant improvements across their operations. As Operational Excellence Manager, you will be responsible for leading and implementing a comprehensive improvement program focused on enhancing productivity, quality, and overall operational efficiency. This will involve a strong emphasis on Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles and Lean methodologies, with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement TPM initiatives focusing on key areas such as autonomous maintenance, planned maintenance, OEE improvements, waste reduction, quality enhancements.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and address operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Develop and implement training programs to upskill the workforce on continuous improvement techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, purchasing, engineering) to optimize manufacturing processes and improve overall business performance.
- Collect, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing TPM programs or similar continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (automotive, food, industrial preferred).
- Six Sigma certification is preferred but not essential.
