A food manufacturing business that is a leader in their space who have a strong focus on innovation and delivering high-quality products to their customers. Based in Victoria’s South West region, they are seeking a skilled production machine operator to join their developing team.
About the role
Reporting directly to the Production Team Leader, your role as the Machine Operator is responsible for handling and operating various types of machinery, including the spray dryer, to ensure efficient production of products. Your primary objective will be to operate facilities with the utmost safety and efficiency, while also ensuring products consistently meet the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor dairy processing machinery such as pasteurisers, homogenisers, separators.
- Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.
- Adjust equipment settings and troubleshoot issues to maintain smooth production.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Assist with cleaning and sanitisation of equipment and work areas.
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily targets.
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a food manufacturing environment
- Experience using a spray dryer is highly desirable.
- Good communication skills and problem solving abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
- Understanding of safety procedures within a food manufacturing environment.
