We are partnering with a leader in the Victorian Civil Construction Industry to recruit for a talented Human Resources Manager to join their team based in the Ravenhall. This exciting hybrid role will work closely with the CFO to manage HR activities, including recruitment, training, safety and policy implementation.

Objectives:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives to improve employee standards and procedures, integrating existing HR systems with recommended enhancements.
  • Drive the design and execution of HR programs focused on attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse workforce that supports business success.
  • Provide expert guidance, coaching, and support to the Leadership Team to cultivate a productive and engaged workplace culture.
  • Lead organisational development efforts, including employee feedback sessions and workshops, to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Manage and optimise HR platforms, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency, ensuring effective utilisation and improving the employee experience through insightful reporting.
  
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business leaders and people managers to address day-to-day employee matters, offering consultation, coaching, and support for performance and development.
  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including role evaluation, talent pool management, advertising, screening, and interviewing, in collaboration with hiring managers.
  • Manage the annual performance review process, coaching leaders to ensure consistency, effective execution, and clear communication.
  • Develop and maintain HR documentation, including offer letters, contracts, induction plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Serve as the primary payroll contact, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to enhance training programs and strengthen career development and management plans.
  • Lead wellbeing initiatives and team-building activities to cultivate a positive and engaged workplace culture.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Experienced HR professional with a proven track record, ideally within customer-focused businesses in the construction or manufacturing sectors.
  • Demonstrated success as a strategic business partner, aligning HR initiatives with the organisation’s vision, mission, KPIs, and culture.
  • Skilled in strengthening existing frameworks by introducing innovative solutions, particularly in talent management, learning and development, and cultural transformation.
  • Proficient in a range of software and applications, including recruitment platforms, learning management systems, payroll tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
