Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Managers to establish and maintain strong workplace relationships.
- Promote positive employee relations to enhance performance and minimize workplace conflicts.
- Provide the Leadership team with reports on key HR matters, including absenteeism, leave, new hires, training, safety compliance, and terminations.
- Ensure compliance with HR legal requirements and government reporting regulations by maintaining up-to-date policies, procedures, and reports.
- Supervise the collection, maintenance, and security of employee records and information.
- Advise Managers and Supervisors on organizational policies and handle complex complaints and investigations as needed.
- Develop and oversee the company’s employee review program to ensure performance is effectively assessed and managed.
- Support and oversee staff development initiatives.
- Manage grievance investigations to ensure fair resolution.
- Oversee recruitment and selection processes to attract and retain top talent.
- Ensure staff receive proper training and certification for relevant OHS tasks, including machinery operation and forklift licensing.
- Maintain company compliance with OH&S regulations and implement necessary OH&S systems.
Ideal candidate:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Qualification in Human Resources (degree level preferred)
- Experience in a similar capacity within a HR function
- Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and programs, with a good understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Strong communication, organisation, time management and administrative skills.
- Experience in recruitment and onboarding.
- Understanding of awards, enterprise agreements and employment legislation.
- Intiative and the eagerness to learn.
