We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and strategic Human Resource Manager to play a pivotal role in driving the success of people and culture.
The Opportunity: As a standalone HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the full HR lifecycle across the business manufacturing operations. This is a generalist role where you will provide comprehensive HR support, ensuring people strategy aligns with business goals and a workplace that continues to thrive. You will report directly to the General Manager and have an opportunity to make a significant impact on the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Strategy & Support: Partner with leadership teams and managers to drive HR strategies and solutions across the organisation. You will be responsible for implementing policies, overseeing performance management processes, and ensuring that all HR initiatives align with the business’s values and operational objectives.
- End-to-End Recruitment & Talent Management: Lead recruitment efforts to ensure the attraction of top-tier talent. You will oversee onboarding, training, and performance development to ensure we continue building a skilled and motivated workforce that drives business performance.
- Employee Engagement & Wellbeing: Drive employee engagement initiatives, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. You will oversee the development of wellbeing programs to ensure the physical and mental health of employees is supported.
- Employee Relations & Industrial Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor, resolving day-to-day employee relations issues and ensuring compliance with industrial relations legislation and union agreements. You will manage the relationship with unions and handle negotiations, grievances, and disputes. Your expertise in industrial relations will be crucial in maintaining positive and productive relationships with employees and their representatives.
- Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) Management: Lead the negotiation and implementation of EBAs, ensuring alignment with the business's goals and compliance with relevant industrial laws. You will oversee the administration and renewal of EBAs, playing a critical role in managing workforce agreements and fostering positive industrial relations.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all HR practices comply with relevant workplace laws and regulations. You will be responsible for managing HR reporting and providing insights on key metrics to guide decision-making.
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
- Extensive experience in Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, and Unions. You will be adept at handling negotiations, mediations, and union engagement with a deep understanding of industrial awards and agreements.
- Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) experience is essential. You will have a demonstrated history of leading successful EBA negotiations and managing the lifecycle of agreements.
- Strong knowledge of Australian workplace legislation, HR compliance, and the Fair Work Act.
- A collaborative and solutions-focused approach with the ability to influence at all levels of the business.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with employees, leaders, and unions.
- A high level of organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
