We are excited to offer a new greenfield opportunity for an HR Manager to join a leading civil construction company located in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who is ready to establish and develop a robust human resources function. 

Objectives of the Role:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies to enhance employee standards and procedures, leveraging current systems and recommending improvements.
  • Drive initiatives to attract, develop, and retain talent that supports business performance.
  • Provide expert advice and coaching to the Leadership Team to foster a productive and engaged workplace culture.
  • Lead organisational development efforts, including employee feedback and culture workshops.
  • Manage HR platforms, tools, and processes to optimise the employee experience with effective reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business leaders on employee matters, including performance, coaching, and development.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment: role evaluation, talent management, advertising, screening, and interviews.
  • Manage the annual performance review process, ensuring consistency and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain HR documentation: offer letters, contracts, induction plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead payroll delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Enhance training programs and career development plans in partnership with department leaders.
  • Promote a positive work culture through wellbeing initiatives and team-building events.
Qualifications:
  • Proven HR experience, preferably in construction or manufacturing.
  • Successful track record as a business partner, driving vision, KPIs, and culture.
  • Innovative in talent management, L&D, and culture improvement.
  • Passionate about employee care, growth, and performance.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in HR software, recruitment tools, learning platforms, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
