Key Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to shape a positive, high-performance workplace culture that aligns with company values and leadership principles.
- Provide expert advice and coaching to operational teams, fostering the development of leadership capabilities and employee performance.
- Manage complex employee relations matters, including performance issues, restructures, investigations, and conciliation processes, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
- Spearhead initiatives that enhance employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and overall job satisfaction.
- Collaborate in the preparation of tender responses, ensuring HR strategies are effectively communicated and aligned with business goals.
- Contribute to the development and negotiation of enterprise agreements that support business strategies and objectives.
- Lead the implementation of HR programs focused on continuous employee development and improving business outcomes.
- Monitor and analyse key HR metrics to ensure alignment with business goals and drive decision-making.
- Provide strategic support in the optimization of resources, including employees, contractors, and labour hire, while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Play a key role in the annual salary review process, benchmarking, and remediation plans, ensuring competitive and fair remuneration practices.
- Extensive HR experience, ideally within blue-collar or unionised environments, or a comparable setting.
- 4+ years HRBP experience desired
- Proven ability to work with HR metrics and in performance-driven environments.
- Strong background in employee relations, including managing performance issues and supporting negotiations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple HR functions simultaneously.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, ER, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- In-depth understanding of employee relations legislation and HR best practices.
- Expertise in supporting HR policies, systems, and processes to ensure operational efficiency.
- Strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of business needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with high emotional intelligence.
- A collaborative approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
