Our client, a leading provider of integrated property services, is seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of HR to lead their People & Culture team. Reporting to the Group Chief Operating Officer, this role is pivotal in shaping the organisation’s people strategy, fostering a high-performance culture, and driving best practices in people, compliance, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop the People and Culture team to provide expert HR advisory and operational support.
- Partner with business leaders to drive workforce planning, talent management, and organisational development initiatives.
- Enhance leadership capability through targeted coaching, training, and policy implementation.
- Oversee the execution of remuneration reviews, compliance reporting (including WGEA), and the Gender Equity Action Plan.
- Manage complex employee relations matters, ensuring best practice resolutions and alignment with business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement across HR functions, including recruitment, performance management, learning & development, and workplace wellbeing.
- Lead the organisation’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and contribute to the Modern Slavery Statement and grievance procedures.
- Provide strategic oversight for people systems and HR technology to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
- Deliver key people projects and company-wide initiatives in alignment with business goals.
- Strong leadership with the ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.
- Experience in large, blue-collar workforce environments.
- Proven ability to manage change and drive cultural transformation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail with exceptional organisational skills.
- Degree qualification in Human Resources, Employment Law, Business, or a related discipline.
- Extensive HR business partnering experience in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant employment legislation, industrial frameworks, and HR best practices.
