The Position - Group Manager - Risk and HSEQ
They are seeking a Group Manager - Risk and HSEQ to oversee the safety aspects across all sites. In this role, you will work closely with safety supervisors and managers at each facility to standardize procedures and policies, ensuring compliance and driving best practices. You will play a pivotal role in strategic planning and aligning risk management with broader business objectives. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role offers a blend of office-based work and site visits, focusing on audits, inspections, and implementing safety improvements. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to support long-term safety goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Elements
- Oversee safety across multiple facilities, focusing on continuous improvement.
- Standardize WHS policies, procedures, and systems across all locations.
- Lead audits and inspections, ensuring adherence to ISO 14000 standards and support the rollout of ISO 9000.
- Collaborate with on-site safety managers to ensure consistency and high standards.
- Manage a capable team of four direct reports, each handling safety at their respective sites.
- Flexibility to be based in Sydney, Newcastle, or surrounding areas, with potential for occasional remote work.
- Contribute to a healthy safety culture that has seen significant improvements over the past two years.
