About the organization
Our client is a leader in their field as a major construction product manufacturer. Supporting some major tier 1 and tier 2 construction projects our client are a growing organization and have recently opened new offices interstate and regionally.

Job Overview:
The Contract Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the contractual aspects of our construction projects. This includes the preparation, negotiation, and administration of construction contracts to ensure compliance with legal requirements, minimize risk, and safeguard the company’s interests. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of construction contracts, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (e.g., subcontractor agreements, supplier agreements, and client contracts)
  • Ensure all contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding contract terms and conditions
  • Identify potential risks in contract terms and collaborate with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies
  • Manage contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and closeouts
  • Liaise with legal counsel to resolve contract disputes and claims
  • Monitor contract performance to ensure all parties are fulfilling their contractual obligations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contract-related documents
  • Work closely with project managers
  • and senior management to align contracts with project goals
  • Stay current on construction industry trends, standards, and regulations to ensure best practices in contract management


About you
  • A bachelors degree in construction, law, or relevant experience.
  • Proven experience with contract management in the construction industry
  • Experience with construction methodologies
  • Familiarity with industry standards
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and priorities at one time
