Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing ASX-listed retail business, committed to delivering exceptional products and customer experiences across our diverse range of stores and e-commerce platforms. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented and driven FP&A Analyst to join their growing Finance team.
The Role:
As an FP&A Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial planning and analysis function of the business. Working closely with senior leadership, you will provide valuable insights and actionable recommendations that will guide strategic decision-making and drive performance. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and variance analysis, with a focus on maximizing profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business objectives.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and key stakeholders.
- Perform variance analysis, provide explanations for key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support strategic planning processes
- Collaborate with business units to understand operational drivers
- Provide insights into cost management and profitability, helping the business make data-driven decisions.
- Assist in the preparation of board papers, investor relations presentations, and other external communications.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), commercial finance, or similar roles.
- Experience within an ASX-listed company or retail environment is highly desirable.
- Strong financial modelling and Excel skills, with a good understanding of financial systems and reporting tools - PowerBI, TM1.
- Ability to analyse complex financial data and communicate findings clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements for publicly listed companies (ideal not essential)
- CA / CPA / CIMA Qualified
- 4+ years Consolidation, reporting and FP&A experience
- Excellent communication to liaise with a broad audience
- Retail, e-comm, retail manufacturing background preferred
- SQL experience preferred
- Strong analytics skills interpreting data and providing recommendations
- Advanced leadership, coaching, mentoring and development skills
