Role: Full time (76hours per fortnight)
Setting: Not for Profit Aged care in Central Coast
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing individualized wound care plans for residents
- Administering wound treatments, including cleaning, dressing changes, and medication application
- Monitoring wound progress and documenting assessments, including wound dimensions, appearance, discharge, and signs of infection
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members, including registered nurses and physicians, to optimize wound care
- Educating residents and their families about wound care and prevention strategies
- Ensuring proper pain management during wound care procedures
- Escalating concerns about wound deterioration to registered nurses or physicians in a timely manner
Key Requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Enrolled Nurse.
- Minimum of 12 months experience
- Experience in aged care settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and best practices in wound care
