Working for a smaller Government agency, you will support the development and improvement of the safety management system, including establishing processes and policies as required and working with digital and information to develop and implement digital solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Support the ongoing development of WHS systems and processes within the agency;
- Work with the digital and information divisions to develop and implement digital solutions for workplace health and safety;
- Establish workplace health and safety assurance frameworks and an implementation plan;
- Work with employee networks across the agency, as applicable, to support the networks’ delivery of activities and guide the scope of these to be aligned to corporate direction;
- Assist with WHS reporting, build stakeholder relationships, and help build out capability through safety coaching and training;
- Coordinate with the team for monitoring and response to incidents reported, including working with the organisation’s leaders to address issues reported and conducting investigations.
- Demonstrated experience in the writing and documentation of processes and development WHS systems and processes to improve WHS risk management and support operational outcomes;
- Demonstrated ability to analyse WHS data to understand trends and develop reocmmendations;
- Qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety or Cert IV in Training & Assessment will come highly regarded;
- Possess a current valid “C” class driver’s license and Construction Induction White Card
- Proven ability to provide sound advice and work in consultation with stakeholders on WHS matters
