Working with the General Managers and their leadership teams across all Operations’ businesses within the Queensland remit, this role will leverage your deep understanding of the full spectrum of HR services and organisation to provide insights and guidance to support strategic decision making and enable effective business operations and the delivery of Operations’ strategic priorities.
You will harness your expertise in People & Culture Centres of Excellence, leveraging and applying frameworks, and lead complex workforce challenges to achieve business outcomes and build sustainable capability. This role will focus on setting strategy and plans to create a working environment that attracts, develops and retains top talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leaders to analyse workforce and business data to understand workforce factors, contributing to business opportunities and potential solutions across all operations’ business units within the Queensland remit;
- Support leaders in translating required business outcomes into a set of criteria that will guide organisational design, including the mix of capabilities and workforce types;
- Work closely with the specialist IR/ER team, providing business perspectives into the development of IR/ER strategy, supporting business operations, and upskilling leaders’ capabilities across this space;
- Provide high level consultancy and advisory style services to leaders on the operational IR/ER framework to enable their ability to positively impact work plans and operational goals within the context of the framework;
- Advise and coach leaders on effective planning and management of transitional processes to implement and sustain organisational change activities, supporting leaders to identify and quantify impacts of proposed changes in roles and structures of business operations;
- Provide personalised coaching and feedback to executives, utilising internal and externally sourced coaching programs to support in improving leadership and management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in a strategic business partner or change management role – experience within a heavy industry or blue collar unionised environment will come highly regarded;
- Demonstrable skills in diagnosing systemic issues and implementing strategic People & Culture solutions where cause and effect are not always apparent;
- Proven track record in operationalising IR and ER strategies to drive business growth and productivity;
- Experience in successful change management, delivering effective engagement strategies, learning and development and communications.
