They are renowned for their commitment to quality and innovation and are looking for a State Hygiene Manager to join the team on a night shift based in either Sydney or Brisbane.  

About the Role
As the State Hygiene Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our hygiene team by developing and implementing hygiene strategies in alignment with company policies. You will ensure compliance with industry standards, drive strategic improvements using data, and effectively manage both budget and resources. Your leadership will be essential in upholding high standards and achieving operational, regulatory, and sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities
  • Build relationships with internal and external hygiene resources and suppliers
  • Deliver high-quality hygiene services
  • Document and train on cleaning methods
  • Site lead for setting the GMP cleaning standards
  • Ensure compliance with legal and company hygiene standards
  • Manage, develop and lead your team of hygiene operations
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Oversee the labour and cleaning/chemicals budget
  • Ensure continuous improvement and engagement
  • Participate in incident investigations
Skills & Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Food Science/Food Technology or other relevant science discipline
  • Proven experience in hygiene management role within food manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of food factory effective sanitation methods are required
  • Previous experience in managing teams
  • Internal auditor skills are essential
  • Working knowledge of customer and certification standards is preferable
  • Competent in Microsoft Office suite, with existing skill or ability to learn IT systems such as iLeader.
  • Experience in or ability to liaise with suppliers
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Must be proactive, flexible and adaptable with strong analytical skills
  • Approachable and enthusiastic
