Our client is a leading organization in the chemical storage industry and are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee engineering activities at their site in Sydney. This is a critical role focused on ensuring safe and cost-effective storage and loading facilities for their clients through sound engineering practices and timely maintenance of all plant and equipment.
The Engineering Manager will manage the Minor Capital Program for the NSW terminals and work closely with the Asset team, Operations Managers, and site supervisors to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of engineering activities, including minor capital projects and maintenance activities.
- Provide engineering expertise in plant maintenance, capital expenditure, and business expansion.
- Ensure compliance with safety objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to plant and equipment and project integration.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to prepare Capital and Maintenance Budgets.
- Develop and maintain engineering standards and documentation.
- Manage capital expenditure projects, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
- Ensure all works comply with applicable standards and legislation.
- Maintain good relationships with contractors and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Process, or Mechanical preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Chemical, Petrochemical, or Oil Industry.
- Exposure to bulk liquid storage and strong knowledge of Major Hazard Facility requirements and relevant Australian Standards.
- Proven project management experience.
- Excellent problem-solving, supervisory, and communication skills.
