The Role

As the Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards across their production processes. You’ll lead a small team, overseeing food safety systems, quality control measures, and continuous improvement initiatives. With your strong background in food technology and management, you’ll ensure that the products exceed customer expectations.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the quality team to ensure adherence to food safety standards and best practices.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HACCP and SQF Quality Management systems.
  • Analyse data from quality assurance activities and provide actionable insights to improve processes.
  • Supervise lab activities to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to maintain high-quality processes and solve any issues that arise.
  • Mentor and develop the quality team, ensuring continuous professional growth.
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives and develop innovative solutions to enhance food quality.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities, ensuring timely delivery to meet customer briefs.
  
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Chemistry, Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing a small team in a food quality role within a production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food technology systems and industry standards for quality management.
  • Accredited in HACCP and SQF Quality Management.
  • Experience working in a lab or similar environment, with hands-on involvement in quality control.
  • Proven ability to manage data collection, analysis, and reporting for continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on creating innovative, efficient solutions.
  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
