About the role
The senior position ensures the effective implementation of the organisation's risk management framework, with a specific focus on third party risk management (TPRM) within Business Services. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, this role supports risk and compliance frameworks, risk assessments, incident management, third-party risk, and fosters a risk-aware culture. Success requires strong commercial knowledge, excellent communication across line 2 risk, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deliverables effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to identify, assess, and manage risks while building a robust control environment across TPRM
- Equip business units to understand their risk profile, monitor controls, and manage incidents effectively.
- Ensure compliance with policies, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance for risk management initiatives, policy reviews, training, and system use.
- Support risk assessments for projects and third-party engagements.
- Identify emerging risks and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate risk data
- Collaborate with leaders to balance risk and return for optimal outcomes.
- Deliver training and awareness activities while leading a small team, mentoring them to high performance.
