About the Role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Lawyer to join a dynamic in-house legal team. This role will provide employment, safety, and workplace relations legal advice to key business units, ensuring compliance and supporting strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on workplace health and safety (WHS) compliance, investigations, and regulatory matters.
- Providing legal guidance on employment-related issues, including performance management, terminations, and workplace investigations.
- Managing discrimination law matters, including handling complaints, conciliations, and litigation.
- Supporting the business on industrial relations issues, enterprise bargaining, and regulatory compliance.
- Assisting with employment and safety litigation, including unfair dismissal, general protections, and workplace disputes.
- Advising on employment and safety law risks related to contractors, licensees, and third-party relationships.
- Providing legal support on business-wide projects, including workplace change, restructures, and compliance initiatives.
- Admitted to practice law in Australia with a current practising certificate.
- Looking for a role which is Part Time - 4 days a week
- Minimum 5 years’ post-admission experience in employment and safety law
- Strong knowledge of workplace health & safety (WHS), Fair Work Act, and industrial relations frameworks.
- Experience managing litigation and regulatory matters across various jurisdictions.
- Ability to provide commercially focused, strategic legal advice.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
