Reporting to the Tax Manager - Indirect Tax, you will join a collaborative team of 3 where you will be supported and developed, your day to day responsibilities will include some of the following tasks, however the right attitude with a willingness to learn is key in this role:
- Oversee the preparation and review of GST compliance obligations.
- Lead the transition to advanced BAS preparation software, including implementing process improvements during the rollout.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation, evaluate their impact on the organization, and collaborate with key stakeholders as needed.
- Work with cross-functional teams to offer guidance on business transactions and projects.
- Be a representative within the global Tax team
- Drive and manage tax-related improvement initiatives, including optimizing processes and controls to boost business efficiency.
- Develop and train team members and support the provision of training to stakeholders.
As the desired candidate you will have qualified as either a CA/CPA/CTA and currently working for either a Big 4 firm or mid tier chartered firm from within Business Services with a Tax background, alternatively working for a global complex business specialising in Corporate Tax. You will have the desire to learn and be mentored by the best, have exceptional communication both verbal and written with strong attention to detail and time management skills. You will enjoy working in a fast paced and dynamic environment with the passion and energy to succeed.
