The Opportunity
Our client are looking to hire a Senior Payroll Officer to the business who will sit within a small team of 3. You will take full ownership over ensuring the accurate and efficient undertaking of all associated end-to-end payroll duties as listed below. Reporting into the Payroll Manager and providing support to a Payroll Officer you will bring a high level of attention to detail to the role and a positive attitude.
Job Responsibilities
- Processing fortnightly payroll for 1500+ employees
- Interpretation of the General Retail Industry Award
- Maintain accurate employee data including onboarding/terminations
- Ensure compliance with all payroll-related legislation & regulation
- Calculate and process superannuation, leave entitlements and other payroll-related adjustments
- Responding to payroll queries
- Provide support to the Payroll Manager with AD HOC reporting/project related tasks
- ADP systems experience ESSENTIAL
- Previous experience in retail advantageous but not essential
- Previous high-volume payroll processing experience
- Willingness to identify and suggest process improvements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team environment
