Position Description
This role is responsible for working in partnership with the Payroll Manager to support the payroll team and assist in implementing new changes and process improvements.
- Processing for a high volume, fortnightly payroll
- Responsible for managing STP and superannuation calculations
- Creating bank file for processing
- Providing advanced expertise and specialist advice for payroll awards, industrial agreements and statutory requirements
- Providing a consultative approach to rectifying and advising on appropriate courses of action
- Assisting with the processing of payroll
- Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and providing recommendations
The Successful Candidate
- Previous experience in a similar Senior Payroll Officer position using SAP is essential
- Understanding of and experience interpreting Awards/EBAs
- High level attention to detail and accuracy
- A demonstrated ability to communicate complex matters in a simplified manner
- Forward thinking mindset with a keen desire to lead change
- Strong stakeholder management skills with clear communication techniques
