About the role
 
Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Payroll Officer to join their expanding team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, this role focuses on delivering accurate payroll processing, driving ongoing improvements in payroll services, and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for working within a high-volume and ever-changing payroll environment.

Your key responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:

• End-to-end payroll for a workforce of 2000 + 
• Efficiently manage the processing of the payroll runs, including STP & PAYG duties and managing leave requirements;
• Ability to manage an increasing payroll across multiple complex EBA's interpretation and relevant legislation;
• Salary sacrificing administration and processing redundancy packages and superannuation;
• Answering payroll queries via phone and email.

Skills Required

As the suitable candidate you will have demonstrated experience in a Senior Payroll Officer position. You will need to demonstrate that you can work in a collaborative environment where you will be a role model and inspire your colleagues.

• Extensive experience in a full function payroll position;
• Previous experience using a Tier One payroll system;
• Experience with a wide range of EBAs and Awards;
• Keen eye for attention to detail and process improvement;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to liaise confidently with colleagues and external contacts.
