An Australian FMCG manufacturing company are looking for a Senior Materials Planner to act as a 2IC to the National Planning Manager across a team of 6 planners.
  
About the Role:
This is a key role in the materials planning team, responsible for driving New Product Development (NPD), deletions, and key change management projects.

You’ll collaborate cross-functionally, analysing risks, ensuring raw materials are available to meet launch timelines, and minimising inventory write-offs. You’ll also act as the go-to person for the Brisbane based planners, supporting them day to day and providing leave cover as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading NPD and product change projects – ensuring timelines are met, risks are mitigated, and communication is clear across the business.
  • Managing the deletions process to ensure minimal inventory write-offs
  • Acting as 2IC to the National Planning Manager, supporting a team of 6
  • Providing strong stakeholder engagement, coordinating with production, planning, supply chain, procurement, and cross-functional teams such as marketing and sales.
  • Supporting compliance, reporting and driving process improvements across materials planning.
  • Providing leave cover for supply and demand planning, including ordering ingredients and ensuring production plans are met.
  • Continuously looking at the product range for opportunities to improve efficiency, shelf life, or reduce complexity.
This role is based in Wacol, QLD and is a 13-month fixed term contract (Maternity Leave Cover).
  
About You:
We’re seeking an experienced supply chain professional with a strong background in materials, supply, or demand planning. You’ll enjoy working on projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will have:
  • Previous experience working as a planner within supply chain
  • Experience managing NPD or product change projects
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
