The Role:
As a procurement officer, you will support the procurement managing supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions, and maintaining a smooth flow of materials and services required for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying and selecting suppliers of raw materials, components, and services necessary for manufacturing operations
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure that the suppliers meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations
- Manage inventory levels to ensure there is an adequate supply of materials without overstocking
- Work closely with production and warehouse teams to forecast demand and avoid production delays due to shortages
- Assess and mitigates risks related to supplier performance, supply chain disruptions, and regulatory changes
