About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Advisory:
- Provide legal reviews of consultancy agreements for architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
- Identify and evaluate legal risks, draft alternative clauses, and negotiate contract terms.
- Prepare pro forma consultancy agreements and manage legal files.
- Ensure compliance with professional legal standards, including timekeeping, billing, and costs disclosure.
- Risk Management Education:
- Develop and deliver CPD seminars and webinars on industry-specific risk topics.
- Analyze legislative reforms to identify educational opportunities.
- Collaborate with claims management teams and industry bodies to design relevant content.
- Additional Contributions:
- Build relationships with clients, industry representatives, and internal teams.
- Engage in marketing, business development, and thought leadership activities.
You are a qualified solicitor with some level of experience in construction law and a passion for helping professionals understand and mitigate risks in their industry. You thrive in an autonomous environment, enjoy developing creative educational content, and are comfortable delivering presentations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor of Laws or equivalent legal qualification.
- Current unrestricted practising certificate.
- Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience, including exposure to construction law.
- Expertise in contract analysis, drafting, and negotiation within the construction industry.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and an aptitude for learning new systems.
