Position Overview
The Legal Office of our client manages a wide range of legal matters for over 1,500 researchers and clinicians. They specialize in creating streamlined agreement templates, overseeing internal policies, and working closely with governance bodies to ensure compliance and support clinical trials.
The Legal Counsel will play a key role in providing timely legal support and handling day-to-day legal matters. You’ll collaborate with various teams, including Legal, Innovation, Research Support & Operations and executive staff, ensuring the smooth execution of agreements and offering practical legal advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely legal advice to researchers, staff, and other internal teams.
- Review, draft, and negotiate various legal agreements, including confidentiality, material transfer, and data transfer agreements.
- Advise on legal and commercial risks associated with broader organizational strategies.
- Perform legal research and process improvement initiatives.
- Support senior lawyers and collaborate with stakeholders to provide practical solutions.
- Maintain and foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Qualified lawyer (3-5 PQE+) with strong legal experience.
- Exceptional analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and respond promptly to stakeholders.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with experience managing significant caseloads.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a small team.
- Previous in-house legal experience, particularly with intellectual property matters.
- Experience in healthcare, universities, or research organizations.
- Scientific qualifications are highly regarded.
