Reporting to the Financial Controller our client is looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Financial Accountant to work in a fast-paced accounts team and assist with Group reporting, Statutory reporting, Project Accounting, Tax Accounting and Financial Analysis.
The Role of a Senior Financial Accountant
- Preparation of accurate and timely Group financial statements.
- Produce in-depth financial analysis to identify, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare daily cashflow reports and assist in the preparation of budgets and cashflow forecasts, as required.
- Leading month end closing processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with business units to develop and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Assist in the preparation of IAS, BAS, and statutory lodgment's (such as payroll tax returns and superannuation).
- Tax reconciliations.
- Cash flow management
- Identifying financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
About You
You will have experience working in a similar ‘hands-on’ role. Additionally, you will also be required to demonstrate the following:

- Recent, relevant work experience with at least 5 years professional experience as a Senior Financial Accountant.
- CA/CPA qualified.
- Excellent communication skills and experience with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of IFRS and tax legislation
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and meet strict deadlines
