The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to manage financial reporting processes, compliance, and month-end procedures. This role is integral to maintaining financial integrity, supporting audits, and driving process improvements. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will collaborate with key stakeholders across the business.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with AASB and IFRS.
- Oversee general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy in journal entries, reconciliations, and account adjustments.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulations.
- Assist in tax return preparation and liaise with external tax consultants.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and automation in financial operations.
- CA/CPA qualified with 3-6 years of experience
- Strong understanding of reconciliations and financial reporting standards.
- Experience handling large transaction data, with proficiency in Excel, Access, SQL, or Python.
- Audit background desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
