Sharp and Carter are partnering with a growing retail hospitality group that is family run and have been operating their stores for over 30 years with great success. The group have exciting plans for growth across Victoria and have a strong team in place to make it happen. This is a newly created role to join the business on this journey and provide key reporting insights and improve systems.
  
About the role:
Reporting directly to the CFO this role will be responsible for supporting the finance team with the current implementation of JDE and improving their systems and process to align with the growth of the group. This role has a great pathway to either a commercial focus Business Partner position or alternatively in the technical finance space.
  
Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver comprehensive monthly financial and management reports
• Serve as the primary liaison for the JDE ERP implementation, ensuring smooth integration and system optimization.
• Collaborate with external implementation consultants to maximize the functionality and efficiency of system modules.
• Work closely with the finance team to identify, design, and implement system improvements, enhancements, and integrations.
• Develop and maintain financial systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation and management of the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
• Drive financial performance by providing data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to senior management.

Skills and Experience:

• Tertiary education in accounting or similar
• CPA or CA qualified
• 3+ years’ experience in an Accountant, Analyst role or similar
• Must have exposure to a large ERP JDE, Oracle, SAP etc
• Industry exposure to Retail or FMCG beneficial  
• Motivated and vibrant personality to align with the business culture
• Desire to grow with and contribute to the organisation
• Intermediate to advanced Excel or BI reporting tools
