This exciting, fintech based business is looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join their accounts team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will support the Accounts Payable function and is best suited to someone who will bring a passion for continual process improvement and use of technology to continue to evolve the companies internal finance function. The position will be required for three months and the hours will range between 24-38 hours weekly.
The Responsibilities
- Review and process incoming invoices, ensuring they are accurately recorded in
- AP/accounting systems with correct GST coding
- Process weekly Accounts Payable batches and distribute remittances
- Assist and or administer and process employee expense reimbursements and
- employee expense systems, as required
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures
- Contribute to monthly BAS review process including partnering with the tax team
- Maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring timely communication and resolution of issues
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations
- Assist the broader Finance team with ad hoc queries
The successful applicant will have
- At least 2-4 years experience in a AP specialist capacity
- Experience as a system administrator for AP and expense management systems
- Netsuite or Xero experience preferred
- Intermediate level Excel skills
- Experience in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication skills
- Strong time management, planning and organisation skills
- Deadline driven in a fast paced environment
